Things to do if you are not Fishing......

Kayaking, Hiking, Golfing, Flight Seeing, Whale Watching.  Plenty to do if you are not soaking a line...........

Kayak

There are some local air charter services that will take you on a flight over one of the new seven wonders of the world, Glacier Bay National Park.  We can also arrange a fly out fishing to remote lakes and rivers.

There is also a day cruise that will take you to see tidal water glaciers in Glacier Bay National Park.  It leaves daily at 8am and returns around 4pm. Read more about it here.

Flight Seeing

Humpback Whale

You will see whales all day long while fishing for halibut and salmon.  If that is not enough, you can go out for dinner with a local evening charter and watch whales for at Adolphus Point.

Gustavus Alaska is home to Fairweather Golf Course.  It is a nine hole golf course a half mile from the lodge.  It offers some of the most scenic fairways in the world.

Plane Crash Hike

A short hike will take you "back in time" to this Coast Guard plane crash in 1957. Most of the plane still remains to tell the story of the snow bound disaster. Read the full story by Rita Willson here.

There are many other trails that will take you to beautiful places in Gustavus.  You can hike to the "Moose Flats" and look for sheds. Walk out to the Sandhill Crane sanctuary or hike the very scenic Bartlett River Trail, a must see for anyone.
